Kaw-Liga was a plastic soldier, never went nowhere
Fell in love with 82A1, over at the Barrett store
Show-Liga, oooh
Standin’ there as pogue as he can be
Wishing he could just go overseas
… sincere apologies to Hank Williams
There are a few hundred of these “Show-Liga’s” here. At first you don’t really notice but then …
The Shot Show can be overwhelming. With more than 2,500 companies total, more than 200 ammunition companies, 71 companies doing binoculars, 44 archery companies, and 320 companies doing firearms – there is no way to see it all. Below is a small random sample of interesting stuff I saw today.
Today was random walk-around day at the Shot Show. Prior to today, I had a plan which is normally a good thing. Too much of a plan can cause you to miss stuff that might be interesting so I just walked around today. I tried to cover every section of the show. To me, the most interesting section was the first level of the Venetian. That section had the largest number of small companies and there was a lot of innovation going on down there.
One company I saw in that section was Cutting Edge bullets (www.cuttingedgebullets.com). Cutting Edge bullets does lathe turned copper bullets. I am going to give them a try in a hunting rifle. Their external ballistics look good and the “no lead in your game” idea is appealing to me. Their terminal ballistics are supposed to be good as well.
There were several companies at the Shot Show featuring lathe turned copper bullets. Cutting Edge bullets seemed to have a good product. I’ll let you know.
Amend2 has a good selection of transparent magazines (https://amend2mags.com/amend2-30-round-5.56-mod-c-translucent-model/) and MagPul has introduced their transparent magazine (https://magpul.com/firearm-accessories/pmags/tmag.html) for AR-15’s. I like transparent magazines, especially for competitions. A glance tells you if you are about to run dry. It is useful.

Garmin has a new chronograph. They announced the Garmin Xero Pro C1 (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/771164#overview)at the Shot Show. It competes with the Labradar LX. I’ll do a comparison of the two products soon.
There is a company here that does chamber flags. If you want customized chamber flags for your club or your event, get them from Manufacturing Services (www.mfgservs.com).
The Shot Show is winding down here on Friday afternoon. I’m outta here at 0535 tomorrow morning. Have a good weekend.
