The Memorial 3Gun competition is this weekend at Gryphon Group in Maxton, NC. The mission of the Memorial 3 Gun Foundation is to “remember, honor, and memorialize fallen Special Operations soldiers.”
You can find the Memorial 3 Gun foundation at https://www.memorial3gun.com/
Memorial 3 Gun is run by operators and the proceeds go directly to the families of the fallen operators. There is no other foundation like it. It is, hands down, the best foundation out there.
The 3Gun competition is awesome as well. I will be participating in the competition for Special Forces Association (SFA) Chapter 6 (I am a member of Chapter 6). Chapter 6 is a Gold sponsor of the competition.
The picture below is our SFA Chapter 6 banner from last year. Rick Turcotte (left) and Jim Shaw (right) are the prime movers in Chapter 6 for organizing our participation and fundraising to support Memorial 3 Gun.
The competition is completely sold out (it sells out in minutes each year) but there are seven side stages that are open to the public. You can show up and shoot the side stages. The side stages are five dollars each to shoot. All the proceeds from the side stages go to the Memorial 3 Gun Foundation. With one exception, you will need to bring your own ammunition and weapon for the side stages. See the match book at the link below for more information, especially about the side stages.
This competition is worth a visit even if you are not participating or are only doing a few of the side stages. Some of the best shooters in the country will be competing and the stages are some of the best stages you will see. There are lots of vendor booths, food trucks, and, again, the side stages are open to the public.
For more information about the match and especially about the side stages, take a look at the match book at the link below.

If you are anywhere near Maxton, NC this weekend then come by and see the competition. It is awesome.
