Jim Dandy to the Rescue
PCSL Comes to the Sawmill (1 December 2024) - aka "work off the Thanksgiving feast"
This will be a fun stage. It has PCSL accuracy requirements, a bit of medium distance shooting, a shotgun component, and pistol work. Tactical category competitors will move heavy objects with them as they progress through the scenario.
The stage description is up on Practiscore as a PDF. Register for the competition at https://practiscore.com/sawmill-practical-competition-shooting-league-2-gun-match-december-1st-2024/register
Stage Description
You have come under fire from terrorists who are in a school bus using children as human shields. A tactical decision has been made to neutralize the terrorists and rescue the children.
At the start signal, shoot the left most terrorist (at the bus) five times with your rifle. Then engage the close combatants with one round to the K zone or two rounds to any other hit zone with your rifle.
After engaging the close combatants, place the weapon on safe and bound forward to the next firing position. After arriving at the next firing position, engage the center terrorist (at the bus) with five rounds. Then engage the close combatants with one round to the K zone or two rounds to any other hit zone.
Bound forward to the third firing position. Engage the rightmost terrorist (at the bus) with your rifle - five rounds. Then, engage the close combatants with one round to the K zone or two rounds to any other hit zone. Clear the rifle and place it on the ground pointed in a safe direction.
Move to the fourth firing position. Load the 12-gauge shotgun there with five rounds (provided) and engage the shotgun targets (white steel targets on low stakes). Clear the shotgun and return it to the staged position.
Use your pistol to clear the terrorists on the back side of the bus. 1 hit to the K zone or 2 hits to any other zone.
When finished, clear your pistol and show clear. Walk the stage in reverse order with the RSO and score the stage.
5 minute time cap.
Work Component for Tactical is moving specified items with them from firing positions 1 to 4.
